Michelle Cavanagh
Michelle Cavanagh arrived in Australia in 1966 as a 'ten-pound-Pom'. A long-time
feminist and a retired businesswoman, she is the mother of six children. She
has maintained a life-long love of literature and the theatre later developing
an interest in Australian history while studying for a Bachelor of Arts at Sydney's Macquarie
University. It was during this time that she discovered the story of Margaret
Holmes. Michelle has personal experience of the ramification of Australian
involvement in the Vietnam War as her husband was among the first conscripts
sent there in 1966. This increased her desire to tell Margaret's life story.
After five years' research and many interviews, she has written a definitive
biography of one of Australia's unsung heroes. Michelle lives in Sydney with
her husband. Margaret Holmes: The life and times of an Australian peace campaigner (New
Holland, 2006) is her first book.
Lynn Champion
Lynn has been a motivational speaker and workshop leader at conferences in Australia

Ann Charlton
Ann Charlton has lived most of her life in Wollongong and has travelled widely
throughout Australia. Her work experience ranges from shop assistant to part owner
of a small advertising business. She has won awards and written short stories,
plays and children’s novels under the name of Ann C Whitehead.

Sharon Clarke
Sharon teaches Australian literature, children's literature and creative writing.

Frank Coates
Born in Melbourne, Frank worked as a telecommunications engineer in Australia, Asia, and the Pacific before accepting a UN technical specialist appointment in Nairobi, Kenya, which changed his life. During his four years working and travelling throughout Africa, Frank developed a passion for its political and cultural history, and this ultimately inspired him to begin writing. He now has three published African novels: Tears of the Maasai, Beyond Mombasa, and In Search of Africa. His latest, Roar of the Lion, will be released in April 2007. Craig Cormick
Craig works as a journalist, writer and teacher. He is the author of two published
non-fiction books, Kurikka's Dreaming and Unwritten Histories. The
latter won the ACT Book of the Year Award in 1999.

Louise Cusack
Louise's Shadow Through Time fantasy trilogy was selected as the Australian
Doubleday book club 'Quest' as their Editor's Choice, coinciding with the release
of the final novel Glimmer in the Maelstrom in June 2003. Louise won the International
PRISM award for her first fantasy short story, she has twice been short-listed
in the Australian Aurealis Awards and is the current Writer in Residence at the
