Emma Quay

Illustrator Emma Quay (pronounced “kway”) grew up in a village near Cambridge, England. Emma’s illustrative work is represented in The Victoria and Albert Museum’s permanent collection of prints and drawings. Since moving to Sydney in 1993, Emma has made her mark on the Australian children’s picture book scene with her illustrations for the bestselling Good Night, Me by Andrew Daddo, Daddy’s Having a Horse and the CBCA shortlisted Bear and Chook by Lisa Shanahan and Thank You for My Yukky Present by Meredith Hooper. Emma both wrote and illustrated the popular Reggie and Lu (and the same to you!) and she has again collaborated with Meredith Hooper on her most recent picture book title, Emily and Alfie, which is set in Antarctica and stars two Emperor penguin chicks.
