As a child, Emma Quay used to make tiny books from any scrap of paper she could find and her mum was always finding them hidden under her pillow. These days, young children all around the world fall asleep with Emma’s picture books scattered around their beds.
Emma Quay is an author-illustrator of many award-winning books for children; her memorable characters for Rudie Nudie, My Sunbeam Baby, Bear and Chook, Shrieking Violet, Rudie Nudie Christmas and Baby Bedtime are favourites on children’s bookshelves all over Australia. Emma works from a studio in her home and sometimes feels like she barely leaves it, but her work is held in collections around the world, including the Victoria and Albert Museum.
