Alex Palmer
Alex Palmer (aka Margaret Innes) is a Canberra-based novelist who took up writing full time when she was made redundant from the Australian Public Service. With Blood Redemption, she won the Ned Kelly Award for Best First Crime Novel, and shared the Sisters in Crime Davitt Award for best crime novel by a woman with Gabrielle Lord. She is currently completing her third novel, The Labyrinth of Drowning.
Michael Parker
Michael Parker studied law and worked (extremely briefly) in corporate litigation
before seeing the light and retraining to teach English. He is married with two
children, and currently co-ordinates English at a school in Sydney. He has lived
with the Japanese mafia and climbed to Camp One on Mount Everest in Tibet. He
also has a screenplay optioned by an established film director. Doppelganger is

Estelle Pinney
Wartime Brisbane made a deep impression on Estelle, where she worked as a photographic
colourist, munitions worker, ambulance driver and nurse. Twenty years later she

Spears with her husband. She has since written her debut novel set in wartime

Emma Quay
Illustrator Emma Quay (pronounced "kway") grew up in a village near
Cambridge, England. Emma's illustrative work is represented in The Victoria and
Albert Museum's permanent collection of prints and drawings. Since moving to Sydney
in 1993, Emma has made her mark on the Australian children's picture book scene
with her illustrations for the bestselling Good Night, Me by Andrew Daddo,
