Selena Hanet-Hutchins

Selena Hanet-Hutchins has a Bachelor of Creative Arts in Creative Writing and a Diploma of Book Editing and Publishing and has studied drama. She has loved stories for as long as she can remember (especially the ones where something unexpected happens) and has written all kinds of things and worked all kinds of jobs (any job good for collecting stories). Selena is a freelance book editor and is co-compiler, with Selwa Anthony, of What is Mother Love?, a collection of short pieces from Australian mothers (famous and not-so-famous) that is a celebration of motherhood. Mariella and the Stars is her first children’s book. She is currently working on her next one, in Kangaroo Valley, where she lives with her partner and her dog.
