Born in Melbourne, Frank worked as a telecommunications engineer in Australia, Asia, and the Pacific before accepting a UN technical specialist appointment in Nairobi, Kenya, which changed his life. During his four years working and travelling throughout Africa, Frank developed a passion for its political and cultural history, and this ultimately inspired him to begin writing. He now has three published African novels: Tears of the Maasai, Beyond Mombasa, and In Search of Africa. His latest, Roar of the Lion, will be released in April 2007. Frank is now divorced and currently lives in Sydney.
